"Clay and I worked with Skibba Builders on a very large and complicated remodeling of a circa 1925 estate. Jack was always encouraging and supportive of our ideas and dreams. We cannot think of a builder that could have such a major and costly project in a timely matter without any major problems. We are blessed to have chosen Skibba Builders."
- Angie and Clay Williams
Jack, who is a hands-on builder, along with the crew, Bob, Matt, and Scott are as skilled in framing and rough-in as they are in finishing. They used their combined experience to custom build homes, renovate existing structures, build additions, and design and construct decks that complement their surroundings. This assures that the project will be structurally sound and give the home owner the product they can enjoy and take pride in.
All these aspects of craftsmanship were utilized at the William's estate:
1. A second story addition and complete renovation of the main floor of their home
2. Updating of the boat house which included replacing all of the windows, applying knotting pine on the interior walls and replacing the siding on the exterior with stucco
3. Custom built guest cottage which was a Parade of homes entry.

"This project demonstrates that there are creative solutions in answering the question, Is it possible to create additional living space without adding on?"
The project began by moving the existing stairway and taking out a closet to obtain more width in the kitchen and dining area. A large custom designed island which contains an eating and work area was added with two skylights above for natural lighting.
Two of the three upstairs bedrooms were changed. One was combined with the master bedroom to make a suite / office / sitting area with a walk in closet and private bath. Access to the bath used to be in the hallway, that opening was closed off and a custom built tile shower and vanity were installed. The other bedroom became an upstairs laundry room and part of the new staircase leading to the downstairs area.
In the downstairs area, two egress windows had to be added to accommodate the two new bedrooms and family room, and the heating also had to be reconfigured. The ceilings are dry walled and the old laundry room in now used for storage. A weight room is part of the plan and a vanity and shower were added to the existing bathroom.
A 70's style ranch home was purchased by a grandson who wanted to update as they planned on raising a family there.
A screened in porch on the back of the garage was closed in and converted into an upstairs laundry room and the bathroom was enlarged to include a shower.
The existing kitchen was taken down to the bare walls, including removing the soffit. Custom cabinets, new lighting, and tile floors were installed.
The family room was enlarged by moving the wall between it and the living room. The opening leading to the dining room was arched and new oak trim and doors, as well as larger windows were installed throughout the remodeled area.
